    Pete & Jan

    Pete and Jan, ex-pats having lived in Australia for the past 25 odd years returned to the UK for an extended holiday and lived aboard MUSN Grumble for just over 6 months in 2008.
    The photographs in this album show some of the exciting places they visited during their experience. These are by far the best photographs, especially of MUSN Grumble that any customer has ever taken!
    It's worth noting that Pete and Jan were perfect boaters and made many friends during their holiday together with earning our respect as 'perfect customers'.
    The album contains 200 photographs from the 400+ they kindly sent on CDs after their return home. Editing them down to 200 was a hard job, as all photos were excellent, and we're grateful to them for taking the time.
    Pete & Jan will always be welcome should they ever return, as customers, or simply as our guests :-)

    Met (more accosted) a photographer on the towpath back in March and asked if I could have copies of the pics she took.
    More of her work can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rozabbotts/ and includes more great photographs taken at Victoria Quays. We really like her stuff and she's been responsible for me (Martyn) regaining an interest in photography and actually reading the manual that came with my digital SLR!
    Roz is now an official member of FoSN (Friends of Sheffield Narrowboats) and remains a constant source of inspiration for me to learn the inner-circle craft of the camera! :-)

    Martyn and Charlotte's Grand Tour 2009

    Martyn, Charlotte and Max took a month off during July 2009 to do some hands-on research into our 'local' waterways.

    Starting from Sheffield we went via the River Trent, Trent and Mersey Canal, Bridgewater Canal, Leeds Liverpool Canal and New Junction to arrive back home a month later.

    Highlight of the trip was the new 'Liverpool Link'.

    Spring Adventure 2009

    An unexpected yet highly welcome coincidence in available leave gave Charlotte and I a break away from the office at the end of March. Trip comprised Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation, New Junction Canal, Aire and Calder Navigation, Selby Canal, Stainforth & Keadby Canal before returning home. Memorable for sharing a lock with Battlestone, and tailing Humber Princess into Rotherham.
